ABOUT THOM FENNESSEY

THOM FENNESSEY is an award-winning Producer, Line Producer, and Executive in Charge with a career spanning over three decades across music videos, commercials, documentaries, and short films. 

American-born, Zurich and London-bred, and based in Los Angeles, he has produced work for major artists including The Chainsmokers, Andra Day, Mariah Carey, Foo Fighters, Elton John, Alicia Keys, Katy Perry, Michael Jackson, and many more. His commercial portfolio includes global campaigns for brands such as Amazon, American Express, Chevrolet, Dolby, Ford, L’Oreal, Mercedes, McDonald’s, Sony, and Samsung, known for their high production value and scale.

In film and documentary, Fennessey served as the Los Angeles line producer for the Robert Durst interviews in HBO’s The Jinx: The Lives and Deaths of Robert Durst. His credits include producing the award-winning West of the Moon (18 international awards), executive producing the Academy Award–shortlisted Record/Play, and producing The Bridge, directed by Mercedes Mason, currently on the festival circuit with multiple awards. 

He also produced all media for Stanford University’s landmark capital campaign documentary, helping to raise 6.3 billion dollars for their undergraduate programs, and recently completed work on the Los Angeles portion of Peter Greenaway’s Lucca Mortis: Tower Stories, starring Dustin Hoffman and Helen Hunt.

Fennessey has produced impactful public service campaigns, including the Ad Council’s Rising, directed by David Nutter, and written by Lena Waithe and Azia Squire, part of the Love Has No Labels initiative, as well as social justice projects like Posts Into Letters. His work has been recognized by the Emmys, Grammys, Cannes Lions, D&AD, One Show, and Clio Awards, with film festival honors from Sundance, Cannes, Berlin, Aspen, and more. 

He has filmed extensively around the world and is a member of the Television Academy and Recording Academy.
